Hello to Everyone,
My name is Vanessa Crouch. I'm a Year 3/4 Teacher and Leader of Pedagogy at St John's Primary in Mullumbimby. I've been teaching for 14 years now but I have never stopped learning about teaching. I've worked in Sydney, a few schools in the Lismore Diocese and International Schools in Papua New Guinea and Tokyo.
I'm the sort of person who is continually learning... since completing my BEd (Primary) I've also completed a BA(Ancient History) and an MEd with a focus on science education and now I've almost completed another MEd this time with an elearning focus. As part of my continued professional learning I blog, tweet, scoop, pin and symbaloo different resources I learn about or I come across. I also volunteer for the Australia E-Series as a facilitator and presenter of the Thursday night Community Connect Series (here we share our knowledge of ICT and how it can be used in the classroom).
In about a week I'll be joining three other teachers in visiting and learning at St Rita's Victoria Point, QLD. There are several aims and learnings I hope to take away from this Teacher Placement:
- to see how larger schools organise and operate in regards to ICT and pedagogy,
- to see how PLT/PLC or other collaborative planning activities work,
- to see what ideas about classroom displays etc I can take back to my school,
- to reflect on the CLF and how it benefits our schools with it's guidance and organisation (and to see if elements of the CLF are evident in others schools that do not use it),
- to look at how other schools facilitate student learning goals, and
- to look at how differentiation is obvious in other schools in particular for assessment of and for learning.
Hi Everyone
ReplyDeleteI look forward to following your progress and learnings during your upcoming Teacher Placement period.
Regards
Tony Boyle
